College is fun... pretty self explanatory

eco-cell

so... i have started on a project at school through tri-beta(biology honorary- i'm historian). Its a cell phone recycling program called eco- cell. Alot of zoos have taken on this program.... even the great Cincinnati Zoo. Hopefully people will bring their cell phones back when they go on break. Here's the advertisment that I converted.

i'm back at school... and loving it!! My room is beautiful and classes are hard but I should last. Hope everyone's having fun at home.

The Last days of the zoo

So my zoo internship ended today, August 17th. This is quite a sad day indeed because the was rewarding and everything I wished it would be. Below are some pictures from the duck group ... my best group all summer! I have more pics and will post them soon of the very last day. :.(

storytime

So today we started story time and I was pleasantly surprised. This is my internship project for the summer and I'm doing it with two other interns. I was extremely excited to do this today and we had 60 people come for the first show. We didn't expect that many people for the second show but 90 people showed up and stayed!! It was crazy for the first day to be so successful and hopefully we have continued success.

i'm having a great time at the zoo!! I teach summer camps and classes in the morning and some afternoons. My intern group is also creating a new program at the new education theater... storytime anyone?? We have also gone behind the scenes of many of the animal houses. I'M LEARNING NEW THINGS EVERYDAY!!
